Imparting knowledge since the 15th century
The Universitat de Barcelona is a public university considered one of the most important in Spain, and is the best placed in international rankings. It consists of seven campuses, distributed by neighborhoods of the capital, where the 24 faculties that compose it are located.
The diversity of architectures of each building, their arrangement in the city and the characteristics of each specialty required an integrating identity that would unify the UB brand and all its signage applications.
Signes won the public tender to identify and sign all university sites. The designer Quim Durán contacted our company so that we could collaborate and advise on the industrial design and suggest the best materials and finishes.
The implementation has been carried out gradually, adapting the implementation plan to the customer’s needs. The hitherto anonymous university buildings now enjoy a coherent graphic identity.
