Luxury hotel and gourmet restaurant
Royal Champagne Hotel & Spa is a 49-room luxury hotel located in Champillon (France). The hotel has a spa that includes a sauna, steam bath, indoor swimming pools and a gymnasium. It also has two restaurants: Le Bellevue and Le Royal; the latter is a gourmet restaurant.
Opened in August 2018, it is a building with modern lines that coexists in harmony with the original building, an inn dating from the 19th century. It is located in Champagne, the world’s most iconic wine region and is the first contemporary luxury hotel to open in the region, embracing the lush bounty of the Champagne vineyards and the surrounding UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The renovation was the work of architect Giovanni Pace. The historic building has been renovated and a completely new wing of simple and pure lines has been created, standing as a contemporary amphitheater facing the Champagne vineyards.
After the remodeling of the building and the opening of the Royal Champagne Hotel & Spa, Signes carried out the wayfinding project, and was subsequently responsible for the implementation of the hotel’s signage.
Inspired by the golden hue of champagne, the contemporary architecture and the unique environment, Signes was in charge of designing all the signage elements (both interior and exterior). Starting with noble materials, such as aged brass and with the color gold as the protagonist, an elegant signage was designed, with simple lines, but with a lot of personality, which not only coexists with the architecture and interior design, but is also a visual extension of the brand and conveys the same values of quality.
